Cleaning And Maintaining An Office Chair
Over time, an office chair collects a lot of dirt and dust which isn’t always easy to see.
If you have a fabric upholstered chair, begin by vacuuming it with the hose attachment and be thorough about it.
When you think it’s clean try beating it with the pipe and see any more dirt comes out, if so vacuum it some more.
Once you’ve got rid of all the loose dirt, next use a good quality fabric cleaner, the spray on foam ones are usually good, but test for color fastness on a small area first.
Once you’ve cleaned your seat leave it long enough to dry thoroughly, it’s not a bad idea to clean your chair last thing on a Friday to give it plenty of time to dry.
For leather upholstery, vacuum first, particularly in the seams where harmful grime collects.
If it is a conventional hide leather saddle soap should be suitable. For specialist leathers like suede, nubuck or aniline use a product specific cleaner like those offered by Leather Magic.
